SLEEPY EYE, MINN. – Christensen Farms & Feedlots, Inc. hosted Iowa’s Congressman, Steve King, at their Truck Wash facility located in Garner, Iowa, on Thursday, September 21, 2017. The truck wash was one of many stops for King, as he visited a number of other family farms and agricultural businesses in the area.
King, a well-known supporter of agriculture and farming, participated in a tour of one of CF’s newest truck wash facilities, gaining a better understanding of the importance of this operation within the organization; from the health of our herds, to the importance we place on areas such as the environment, employee safety, animal well-being, community support and food safety.
Back in Washington, King will be working with his peers in the House, focusing on key issues/topics, including establishing a Foot and Mouth Vaccine Bank program for livestock producers across the U.S., pushing for smart and strong trade agreements to ensure open export markets for pork producers, among the other commodity, and much more.
