Greg Howard

President, Chief Executive Officer

Greg Howard serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Christensen Farms, assuming the CEO role in August of 2024 following the retirement of Glenn Stolt. Greg is responsible for all strategic, operational and financial aspects of the company. In addition, Greg currently serves on the Board of Directors for Triumph Foods, Seaboard Triumph Foods and Daily’s Premium Meats; all of which are primary and further pork processing companies partially owned by Christensen Farms.

Greg’s passion centers around people, having learned the impact of agriculture on individuals, families, communities and countries at a young age. Leaning on his entrepreneurial spirit and engineering training, continuous improvement is at the core of Greg’s character. Driving progress in safety, animal wellbeing, environmental stewardship and operational excellence are critical to delivering on Christensen Farms’ mission, ensuring sustainable operations and building on the legacy of Bob Christensen and the Christensen Family.

With entrepreneurial and operational skills from his prior ownership of a 45,000, sow, farrow-to-finish production system in Canada and the United States, Greg first joined the company in 2005 helping to establish and implement a world class production system. Pursuing his entrepreneurial passion, Greg took a position with Maple Leaf Foods and was responsible for international sales and margin optimization for the company. He went on to co-found Nutriquest, a research and innovation firm based in Mason City, IA. Greg rejoined Christensen Farms in 2010 and served as a member of the company’s executive team in various roles prior to his promotion to President and CEO.

Greg earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and is a Licensed Professional Engineer.
